Mini Ixora is a compact, dwarf ornamental shrub valued for its small, dense clusters of bright flowers. The blooms are usually red, pink, orange, yellow, or white and resemble tiny idlis, giving rise to the common Tamil name Idly Poo. Compared to the normal Ixora, the mini variety grows shorter and bushier, making it ideal for pots, borders, hedges, and small gardens.
The plant flowers almost throughout the year in warm climates. Mini Ixora prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soil and grows best in full sunlight to partial shade. Regular watering and light pruning help maintain its shape and encourage continuous flowering.
