Banganapalli mango is a popular and widely cultivated mango variety in South India. The fruits are large, elongated, and oval-shaped, with smooth golden-yellow skin when fully ripe.
The pulp is yellow, firm, juicy, and almost fiberless, with a mild sweetness and pleasant flavor. This variety is highly preferred for table purpose, fresh eating, and also used for juices, slices, and processing.
The tree is a vigorous, large evergreen tree with good yield potential. Banganapalli mangoes usually ripen during April to May and are well known for their long shelf life, attractive appearance, and good market demand.
